I got what I wanted, in a fashion...

I had some good news, a phonecall wherein the caller from an NHS representative
told me after I'd provided I.D. meaning in this case my date of birth, I don't have pancreatic cancer. I'd almost wished I'd not let the phone ring so long, as the news had pleased me so.

But I'd also had a fall, but not my worst, albeit breaking a tooth in half, on the right-side, rather than the left and the roving tooth on the lower left..

This time I'd only scratched the right side of my face, my right-hand little-finger and a slight-one on my left-hand. Yet, the broken toe has healed, but healed poorly; then I'd found on changing my socks, slowly and applying a distinctly creamy mixture based on pigs feet..

Yet, it had been a recovery I'd taken days to 'recover' from and not one I had wanted, truly. But, I'd thought of my Mother and how she would do as she could to have as she could. With that knowledge, I chose to eat, the meal I'd intended to eat the day before.

I did have a source of amusement on the Monday when I rose at five and got dressed to put the grey recycling bin out, at the curbside. I'd then returned to my room, undressed and got back in bed, where I'd sought sleep.

At six I'd sat up, exclaiming aloud, “It's not the grey bin.”

So I'd risen and dressed, then gone out to bring the grey bin back in and then I'd replaced it with the green bin for general waste. Then I'd gone back to bed, once again...

Another Monday and another visit to the dentist for me; the fall had done damage to one of my teeth, which means that it will need further attention, as will the tooth that broke. So I then I had that to look forward to.

I made another search of Doctor Who external drive, finding audio's I'd not heard before, which proved useful, during this extended lockdown period.

Come Wednesday I'd risen late, which led to a late start with my end of the housework and, that drove me nuts. I'd been even more irritated a short while later when I'd logged into my email account, to find one from EagleMoss, telling me I'd missed their driver and my delivery.

They'd been back the following Monday and I'd been sure to be ready, early. Sure enough the delivery had been as early as expected and, I'd been pleased to be up early enough, to get what I wanted.

And talking of getting what I want – I had the blue-screen of death with my favourite Dell to write on, not once but three times. Thankfully I'd had my replacement Dell Windows 10 to use, so I'd dug it out and powered it up.

Once again, I got what I wanted, in a fashion: I had my first vaccine, at The Oval at Bebington. I'd got a taxi there, on a 'wait & return'. The queue had been a long one, that lasted about twenty minutes, until I'd entered the large gymnasium, which had been set up, for mass vaccination.

Unfortunately, I'd been given the Astra Zeneca vaccine, while I'd had preferred the Oxford. I did have side effects, essentially a mild version of covid...
